What We Believe

About the Bible

The Bible was written by men who were inspired by God and is the only means to know about God, His Son Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit. The Bible reveals Jesus Christ as the only means of salvation. The Bible is true “without any mixture of error”.

About God

There is only one God, but He exists as God the Father, God the Son and God the Spirit. He knows all things and has unlimited power. He loves us endlessly and has perfect wisdom in the decisions of this world.

About Jesus Christ

Jesus is the only Son of God. He was born of a virgin and lived on earth as all God, all man and lived a sin free life. He willingly died in our place because we do not have the ability to provide for the forgiveness of our own sins. He died on a cross, was buried in a tomb and rose from the dead on the third day. He now lives in Heaven with God the Father and will return to earth and establish His earthly kingdom.

About the Holy Spirit

“The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God.” He inspired the writing of the Bible, draws people to believe in Christ for salvation, lives in the believer from the moment of salvation and convicts of sin, guides our lives, brings understanding of the Bible. He exalts Jesus Christ.

About the Church

The church is composed of those who believe in Christ through faith and have been baptized in water by immersion. The church is how God carries out the work of His kingdom through men and women that are spiritually gifted.

About Baptism and the Lord’s Supper

Baptism and the Lord’s Supper are the only church ordinances we observe. Baptism is symbolic of our salvation and is not part of salvation, but is evidence of our obedience to Christ. Baptism is administered by immersion in water and is mandatory for church membership. The Lord’s Supper is for the purpose of remembering the death of our Lord, personal examination of our spiritual life and to be reminded that Jesus Christ is returning to earth.

About Salvation

A lost person can only have salvation by grace through faith that is based on the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. The shed blood of Jesus is the priced paid that our sins may be forgiven, therefore guaranteeing our eternity in heaven.
